What people are saying about Turk

Robert J Greenly

"I have utilized the services of John (Turk) Montepare numerous times over the last 25 years as both a buyer and seller of real estate in Summit County and have found him to be one of the most approachable, professional, thorough, and knowledgeable brokers I have ever worked with."

Bob Blass

"John (Turk) Montepare has been my realtor of choice for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with Turk in buying and selling many single family homes, spec and investment properties. His wisdom and advise through these projects has been invaluable, always seeing things through the eyes of the next buyer with the common sense that can only be found with someone of his experience. I have found that when you are negotiating the final deal, buying or selling, he is able to get it done like no other, with your best interest in mind and controlling emotional distractions."

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Turk Montepare since February 2013. Our working relationship developed over time where I consider Turk a respected and valued friend. From the minute I first met Turk, I’ve appreciated his honest and direct interactions. Turk tells it like it is and doesn’t tell you what he thinks you want to hear. Turk is extremely knowledgeable about Summit County real estate and property management. Turk is an innovative thinker, receptive to suggestions and taking feedback to generate an action plan. I was impressed with Turk’s initiative to communicate with me via text messaging when it wasn’t a common method for him at the time. When we first began the process of selling my property in Breckenridge, at my request, we began at a high price as I wasn’t desperate to sell. As time went on, it made sense to rent the property out and we ultimately rented to two summer/fall tenants sandwiched around one winter ski season rental. This is when and where I came to realize the true value of Turk as my agent. Turk’s vast connections secured three high value, low risk tenants. Turk ultimately became my property manager. He was on top of every issue that arose, again dealing with his vast network of contacts to maintain the property as well as personally keeping a watchful eye out for the well being of my property in my absence. When the market grew stronger, Turk’s previous and then present marketing of the property paid off with multiple offers in one weekend after being reintroduced to the MLS. The escrow period was extended because of a lease contract in place at the time of offer to purchase. Turk managed the buyer’s broker like a pro and kept the for sale deal safely in place and dealt with some last minute logistic issues like the seasoned veteran he is. Turk was instrumental in my ability to clear out my possessions and property and having the property available for closing by personally showing up and giving me a hand wherever I needed assistance. Turk is a guy who will go above and beyond expectations. He is a man of his word, is hands on and will follow through on any and all tasks or requests asked of him. I have purchased and sold multiple properties in multiple locations since 1985 and have interacted with dozens of real estate agents. I would put Turk in the class of one of the top 2 agents I have ever worked with.

My only regret is that John “Turk” Montepare was not my agent when I purchased my Breckenridge property. If you choose to work with Turk, you will not be disappointed.
